You have a point. Oceans are critical. Period.
Most developing world countries have other priorities frankly.
Clean drinking water is a top challenge.
Cruise ships etc disrupt fishing and breeding grounds and I’ve seen footage of sewage being released into oceans by them. Plastics are a menace. The world has to make a concerted effort to reduce use of no biodegradable plastics better still ban them.
