You get fifty for writing it like it is! You nailed it, sir. I’m shocked at such clarity of expression, empathy and comprehension of current affairs in India. America stands redeemed by you! I can feel your erstwhile love for an India that is gone.

On a serious note, images, despite the blackout, coming out of Kashmir are horrendous. People blinded by steel pellets. children, little babies, covered with scarlet spots which are imbedded Arsenal. Women raped by Indian soldiers. Young men tortured and abused. Modi followers aught to be ashamed. Especially those who presume to give us history lessons.

Modi is no hero. He has destroyed Indian democracy to the point where wrong has become right- lynchings and beatings of Muslims are legion. Liberal writers and thinkers are being targeted by his minions. Trump and modi are leading the charge against democracy and ringing in fascism. America is now looking like Weimar Germany and we can’t see that.

Democrats must get their act together. They’re still in disarray from what I see, bickering instead of stating clear agendas.
