I come from a country where credit cards are rare. Mostly it’s a cash economy. We don’t have wretched ‘credit bureaus,’ those dreaded monsters that can kill you. Car loans? Tried and failed. No mortgages. You have money, you buy. You don’t, then live with parents or relatives or rent. I mean, it’s a simpler way of life. Healthcare? Cheap. Medicines? Cheaper. Food? Non gmo. Air? Polluted, thanks to low grade gas pedalled by oil rich countries and reject autos exported by foreign carmakers. No emission regulation because corrupt politicians are bribed. But then that’s not hot news. Plenty of palm-greasing in the west….
