If you’d take the trouble to delve into Taliban history, you’ll see that Taliban are a construct of collaboration between “us Americans” and Pakistani ruling junta of that time, Zia ul haq and Co. And it continued beyond him.
Of course there were vested interests! There always are.

The world has been stupid enough in propping up corruption and fascists by pumping aid into developing countries.

Case in point— Pakistan’s PM who arrived in Geneva with an obscenely huge delegation of hungry lackeys just walked away with BILLIONS of $$$s in aid. We all know where those will go.
How much do you think it cost to fly and house these already filthy rich parasites?? I suggest you check out Utube videos of starving Pakistanis weeping and chasing trucks filled with wheat. ROTTING wheat invoiced at mega $$$s. Who ate up all the money???

Coming back to Taliban.

We ‘Muslims’ created, fed, and allowed an extremist and barbaric lot to hold sway over Afghanistan and Pakistan. Iran has its own brand of draconian fundamentalism.
It’s a fairly visible etiology of regression; along came factions of disenfranchised rabbles. Isis, Daesh, Isil and many others all over the world. The west has home grown not only Islamist but white supremist groups.

Fascism is back with a vengeance. My fear is that if countries like Sweden can fall to neo Nazis, the wildfire of fascism will spread and change the face of the world.
