Why is it that some of us are fascists and others are not? Do life experiences groom fascists? If I’ve had a hard life of deprivation and paucity of love, comfort and dignity, should I not want others to have what I didn’t? How do we learn compassion and empathy, generosity and forgiveness?
Seems to me that the path of least resistance is where most of us end up — easier to snuggle into comfort of ignorance than to rouse ourselves to question inherited biases.
