When written words convey more than one can bear, you know you have crept closer to your own humanity.
Lately I have found that with a surfeit of fascism all over, the only shining frontier that beckons is discovery or reclamation of that part of you which can taste pain and grief of the rest of us.
What can I say Tré… those who created the holocaust of slavery were shameless exploiters and supremacists. Their descendants cannot confront it. Lip service and shuffling of feet is heard a mile away.
I’m brown and a Muslim. Lived here in this land which is a crushed dream for me. I’m patronized by white elitist ‘friends’ sneered at if I wear my ethnic dress, regarded as a terrorist by Trumpites. I’m leaving soon, I have a choice thank God.
That’s the ridiculous extent of discrimination. What the black community endures daily leaves me aghast. Closest I have come to some measure of egalitarianism nips here on Medium.
I’ll watch the film.
I was in medium prison! Couldn’t publish using iOS! Found accidentally I could. So I’m back baby💃🏻💃🏻
I love your writing! 🤗
