What’s happening in Texas to fellow Americans is horrendous. Fifty people dead due to hypothermia and carbon monoxide, here in our country? No clean drinking water, no electricity no heat. Unbelievable. People burning furniture in desperation to stay warm. Sounds like the old country decades ago. We are the richest nation in the world!

Privatizing power and utilities is a terrible idea. Obviously the objective for private companies is to maximize profits and keep maintenance minimal.

My heart goes out to Texas. Perhaps some enlightenment will come out of this tragedy.
