Trees share nutrients. Imagine that. I see a neighbor unable to find sustenance. I don’t look away. I share. Because I know instinctively there’s strength in numbers. At least I do.

Humankind at one point carried that instinct in its gene like the rest of the animal kingdom. No longer.

And I will continue to give $2,5,10 to a homeless person with a sign saying help! standing in the rain at a traffic light even if I’m shunned and scowled at by suburbia. And please, I don’t want anyone’s psychobabble.
