The most horrifying development in Pakistan is the blasphemy law. Thanks to a fascist general pandering to mullahs and ratified by Oxford educated lawmakers for political ends.

Recently a whole Christian neighborhood in a nearby city was torched by a rabid mob incited by a couple of illiterate bigots. Police watched as women and children were dragged, men beaten homes pillaged. Women hid in fields with infants for hours in sweltering heat without water and food. No protection except from some brave horrified Muslims.

Who and what are we?? Do we Muslims ever stop to question ourselves?
Why does religion bring out the devil in us? No shame. No humaneness. God forgive us. We all who raise a timid voice, fear the proverbial knock at the door.
