The concept of a Higher Being helps to stop yourself before you go mad! You turn it over to the universe. Absolve yourself of the havoc you wreak. Of the losses you suffer. There’s a reason why for thousands of years, humankind/ humancruel has worshipped all kinds of almighties. It’s a safety thing I suppose to ensure survival of the species.
