Thank you Geri for your beautiful words. We share a deep spiritual bond I think. The light that shines in your poems, I feel comes from the great prairie in the sky and scatters itself as grace in your reading of what I write. We dance to the same music, so to speak.

Umair is a very special person, someone who matches to his own passionate drumbeat.

Yes I’m blessed to have him as a son. Thanks ever so much! Please remember him your prayers. He suffers from a rare condition called porphyria. Sunlight poisons his system. Some years ago he nearly died. His condition became serious. Porphyrins attacked his organs. He was alone in London at that time. I flew over and brought him back to DC where he was diagnosed and slowly recovered.

By the grace of God, he’s fine most of the time. He’s married to a fabulous American woman who is a doctor and takes good care of him!
