Very often we miss little telltale signs of despair.
My son’s best friend was found dead in his room at an Ivy League school. He had killed himself. Slowly he withdrew and after a while, friends gave up on him. Family, sadly, was missing in his life. What a loss of a brilliant, kind, beautiful child!
My son rarely speaks of him and much as I tried to get him to get grief counseling I was unsuccessful.
I know he’s burdened with guilt.
