Enlightenment and passivity quite frequently go hand in hand. Having said that, activism precedes action by govts. The entire planet needs to be up in arms. Writing about it, awareness is the first step.

America is a lost cause at this point, rendered hollow by rapacious capitalism. Consumerism is an addiction and the life blood of capitalism.
