Perfect Cliff Notes lesson in capitalism 101!

Yesterday’s slaves picked cotton and sugar. Today’s still do that, and build iPhones and sneakers. All that stuff is then sold for enormous amounts, which make a tiny number of billionaires very rich, and make these things called “stock markets” go. But what is really being traded on these markets is the world’s slave labour, if we think about it. A world that is still subjugated into misery, treated like farmed animals, not even given decent food, water, sanitation, and made to work to the bone.
