I can somewhat relate to scary loss of essential attributes.
I started losing my hearing back in ‘92 after protracted battle with Lyme disease.
It’s insidious, creeps up on you, how you start detaching at parties. Ambient noise kills it.

Some years ago I got state of the art hearing aids. I sat down and wept. My life changed, it was magic!
I’m soooo happy for you my dear!
You inspire so many of us.
