Ok. I’ll start with your plaintive ending - we can’t even stop the Houthis!

The ‘we’ is very imperialist!
We have no war with Houthis.Or for that matter, most of the world where we insisted on being peremptorily present by any and all means except boots.

Houthis are clear on what needs defending. Uncle Sam as usual has too many fingers not in the pie but hot oil and I smell them sizzling.

Israel is Sammy’s final undoing. Our war machine is coughing smoke. The sooner it self destructs the better.

These days I’m in my country of birth ( darn it. Can’t run for potus) and I say to myself, hey, this elite upper crust is not as scabby as America’s! Prrrrettty scabby but still I catch glimpses of intelligence.
American politicians? Scummy.
Uk? Brexit is angel of death.
India? Hindu fanatics.
Pakistan? Muslim fanatics plus greediest army in the world chosen to be kingmakers by the kingmaker Uncle Sam.

As for Israel, wait! what’s that local gem of wisdom?
May genocidal psychopaths die a thousand ignominious slow deaths!
