It's the human condition. For our comfort zone, we want straightforward explanations. Paradoxes pose challenges. As do contradictions.
Trumpism dead, Trumpism alive... In between stages like dormancy, confusion transition etc I think is what happens with ideas and beliefs. Can't think in absolute. You're right in a sense. But it's not zombified! That would be a static state.
