Juhi, Meri jaan, you have mocked me, teased me, taunted me, challenged me, pushed and pulled, shoved and kicked. All acts of love.
I was a timid people-pleaser poet. You held up a mirror and wiped its face so that I would see myself. Brutal! Jeez! Tauba!
You have taught me honesty and fearlessness. Given me courage to shed veils of subcontinental patriarchy. There’s so much about you that we all love. You’re really formidable! Battle on. We’re here to cheer you. Lots of love and hugs ❤️❤️😘😘
