It’s not denigration. It’s called self-examination.
As a nation we exist in a lalaland of hubris and false narratives. If you accept a flaw, you can begin to make a correction. Which I’m afraid is a dream — far right extremists will stay Centre stage and hasten American collapse.
Then a healthy social contract might emerge.
