Is it not a fact that white people have never been subjugated by people of color?

As an aside, ‘paler’ people of my family regard me as a child of a lesser god. I’m brown. She won’t get married, no family or man will want her etc etc. it so happened that I met a wonderful man who fell in love with me. I braved an attempt at honor killing and married out of my clan! Perhaps that’s why I came here. His family is whiter than me and in these decades of marriage I’m still eyed with a benevolent shame. It was a while ago but it shocks my family every time I return home — whiteness did not rub off on me! Color biases runs deep.
