In the midst of all this euphoria of a Biden victory, sudden onset of fear clutches my heart. 71 million Americans voted for Trump. 71 million is no mean figure. Are we listening to them? No amount of cheering can drown out their voices. It’s about time Democrats put an ear to the ground. Stopped sneering and taunting them. And addressed their real life grievances. Which ironically are the same as any American who wants to feed the family. Sure, Trumpists have turned racist and bigoted and small-minded and uncouth. Still, they are america. Hear them. They nearly became a force majeure. America is now a country I came to love but yearn to leave. Not a country for colored folks. All creeds. And the poor.
