Ignorance of Boomers, American Boomers, is due to the fact that they were born into a lumbering myth of the American Way of Life. Fattened on hubris and militarism, expansionism and Capitalism’s deadly fruits. We could conquer the world, via direct engagement and proxy wars. After all, our might vaporized Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Nothing could best America.

We fed ourselves and our our kids velveeta, angel cake, marshmallows, little debbie concoctions and bread that sat on kitchen counters for a month without mildew. Fake food, fake goals, fake history, utter ignorance of an outside world. Couldn’t give a hoot for it. Of course, a benevolent hand doled out charity and military aid here and there, off and on.

We killed off the leaders who could’ve led us into the light. We’ve still not shed the ghastly mantle of self-righteousness which justified genocide, slavery and current abuses of fellow Americans, never mind the rest of the planet.

We are what we are what we made. We are the enemy within. It ain’t rocket science.
