I would go a step further and say that the question of casting a casual glance towards us common folk never arose in the minds of architects of our disaster. We have never counted. Not in their calculus. It’s crapitalism.

I am recovering from a serious surgery. Without it I would’ve died within two days. Sure, hospital was fabulous, excellent nursing, I trusted my surgeons. I’m one of the lucky few who could afford it. I have gold card health insurance.

The bill?? Close to $50k. Mind boggling. It’s unconscionable. How many Americans can actually afford that kind of healthcare? But for Medicare, which will dwindle soon I’m told, many seniors would be left to languish. I’m surprised Medicare hasn’t been touched yet.
