True love between a white waif gone native and a the lady who perpetually had a red nose and cascades of saline? Dream on. Verboten!
He sacrifices himself to get her to her vague husband figure. Yawn.
Remember Last of the Mohicans? Daniel-DayLewis was to die for!
Again, the titillating trope of defiant white woman gorgeous brown man. Mind you, whites are heroic whilst natives are faithful servers.
