I saw it live on stage in London back in the 70s. And it blew my mind.

I’m a Muslim who attended a catholic school, replete with catechisms on one hand and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad on the other. For us, religion wasn’t seen as divisive. It just was. You know, a fact of everyday life, like breakfast. Parsees, Christians, Muslims all lived in harmony. Pakistan still had Hindus and Sikhs too. From completely secular it slid rapidly into a grim theocracy. Just an aside.

A hippie Jesus. At last! I loved it. Still do. Thanks for writing about it.

I’m not a religious person. But like you, I have faith.
