I paid $15000 for one night at the hospital. Mind you, ER charges were separate! It’s enough to buy a flat in the developing world.

I’m lucky to have health insurance. Many Americans don’t. So they suffer for lack of dental and other healthcare. They’d rather feed their family than spend $500–600 for getting a tooth pulled. It’s too tragic for words.

Obesity is a major health hazard because many Americans can only afford high fat, high carb food. Who can shop at Whole Foods? Not your average American!

Makes me want to weep. Good people, us Americans. In my 35 plus years here I’ve encountered unexpected kindness from utter strangers. Now we’re mistrustful of each other. We all deserve bounties that only top 1% sit on.
