It should come as no surprise — Qatar as the rest of UAE, is a brown slave society.
Workers die en masse. Living conditions? Awful.
Perhaps now, after some bad press, things have improved. I’m happy to say even when in transit I never spend money on scam of duty free.
Qatar is more or less a quasi colony of 🇺🇸. Gives you pause, right?
Saudi Arabia is another culprit. I will never ever visit for pilgrimage. It’s one of the pillars of Islam. God will forgive me!
Workers and women are treated like crap, worse than UAE. Leaves me aghast. My daughter lived in dubai for a bit. That’s how I know.

Story— I’m from Pakistan. My cook, enchanted by promise of riches in Dubai, asked me if I could help him get there. I did. I was concerned it might turn into a nightmare for him. That’s exactly what happened. Restaurant owner, a local, took his passport away. ‘Wages ‘ were cut for living expenses— he hardly saw any. Worked non stop. After a few months of hard labor he was desperate to return. One day he got a chance. Owner had left his office wide open. Asghar grabbed his passport, some cash and ran barefoot and stowed away on a ship bound for Karachi.
When he returned, he was unrecognizable! Barefoot, little cash, traumatized , emaciated and in shock. What a horror story. I can’t forget his face when he walked in.
Big on human rights, but blinded by vested interests, the west looks the other way.
