I like to see a real person on Medium. A photograph helps to establish a connection or veracity.

I’d like to emphasize again — Snowden was brave yes, but young, idealistic and impressionable. I doubt he understood the full implications of his Herculean act. No matter what he says in his book, he looks pretty sad and ragged to me. Doesn’t mean I don’t admire him.

We can agree to disagree on the journalist’s role. Snowden was exploited. Rather than grow in stature, Glenn took a leap towards moral regress. Sarcasm and smarminess are never a substitute for wit and wisdom. It just smacks of brutishness. I found his trigger remark on Twitter especially irresponsible and reprehensible, since it loosened an avalanche of death and violence threats from terrorists. Umair has the courage to not hide behind anonymity.
