I heartily agree.
The enlightenment which touched America in the 70s, fast evaporated.
That’s when real crapitalism began it’s
predatory march and America fast turned inwards and insular. Which of course fed dormant biases. It all crystallized in Clinton, Bush, Obama days and metamorphosed into Trumpist doctrine.
Most Americans mock Carter and I’ve never understood why. Media played havoc with him. Which it continues to do to Biden.
