I have been your follower/admirer for a while now. I stopped appearing on Medium for a while. For some obscure reason, those of us who published using IOS , were told we couldn’t. I couldn’t afford a laptop back then so feeling abandoned and angry, I stopped reading on Medium. My poems and short fiction shriveled in a dark corner… one day I decided to check if iOS was still verboten. To my utter delight medium turned benevolent and I happily published a poem!
Just an aside. Needed to vent.
Regarding Murakami, what can I say —
He’s a law unto himself. Smarter comments on here say plenty!
I will read the book you recommend. Once i accepted the density, depth and minutiae of his art, I got into the flow.
