I find it ludicrous that 🇺🇸 system can only come up with two antediluvians— Trump and Biden.
St this point, Trump is undoubtedly the much lesser evil.
Without a history one cannot develop a sense of a wide panorama. Such is the case with America. A global vision is lacking, a perspective of a greater good. It’s something we in Pakistan share with usa. We think history began in 1947!
We refuse to think of our heritage predating Indus Valley Civilization. It’s given Pakistan a narrow vision complicated by a fractured sense of identity. If we are not subcontinental, then who are we?? It’s a very serious question rarely addressed by historians and academics.
And society in general. So we conflate being Muslim with Arab which we are not! Someone like me has Arab roots but not most Muslims here.
It’s a serious problem in which Talibanisation has found fertile ground.
