I feel really sad about Brexit.

Briton’s are reeling from societal and economic ruptures. Politics? Less said about that, the better.
Sane enlightened voices are mocked and shallow rich people like Sunak do ridiculous things like become complicit in genocide with an apartheid entity and send desperate people back to Rwanda to rot in jails or starve.

Paris— I was there last year. Stayed at a boutique hotel in the heart of Paris and it cost a lot less than a crass pretentious vapid American offering like Sheraton or Hilton.
Just to wander the streets, pop into a cafe, try my French and buy fruit and flowers grown locally, is a treat. Those galleries and boutiques!
Though not Paris, Versailles shook my sensibilities like nothing ever has. Louis came alive, Les Miserables came alive. It made me sad but the beauty! Craftsmanship and opulent aesthetics filled me up.

London I love also! It’s vibrancy is very much there tho everything looks droopy.
Love the double deckers and galleries and Liberty of London which I hear is foundering.
