I disagree with this person vehemently. People who live sanitized lives are blind to horrors suffered by others. Especially in countries not their own. Frogs who live in wells never see daylight.

The world heard of these unspeakable acts, and reacted with anger and outrage. The brutality and viciousness did not stop at rape… I applaud you for having the sensibility and heart to cry over the incident and write about it.

I watched a documentary about it. It was chilling how the perpetrators showed no remorse. Poverty and alcohol are a lethal mix.
