Hi!!
I bought Anthony Doerr’s new book “cloud Kookooland.” I’ve yet to get into it, I’m so besotted with his masterpiece “ all the light you cannot see” which is, coming from a contemporary American writer, an anomaly in the world of literature, it’s that good!
Gabo of course sits cozily next to my bed. Patriarch— study of betrayals of power, by power which makes sheeple of us all.
My concentration is with painting these days, experimenting with new techniques, and not a word of poetry flutters by. It’s all pigments and forms and play of shadow n light.
Good to hear from you, meri dost! Medium alas I’ve not visited except to check results of the $$$-filled competition. Winner of a hefty prize was a celebrity wife who joined medium to only submit a story which I found pedestrian and of no literary value. Hmmm. I’m not alone in that opinion. Americana is best left to Hemingway, Andrea Barrett the great Gatsby guy etc.
that’s my rant for now! I’m off to pigment-play.
I’ll search you out on medium soon enough. Be well. 🙏🏽😘
