Here’s a photo I took of a war orphan from the Afghan war. Armed with his shoeshine paraphernalia, he’s standing against a backdrop of a giant poster for a high fashion boutique. He gets paid 50 cents per shoeshine. That’s capitalism for you. Breaks my heart.
