I must say we, across the border, are rather militant if touched or stared at. Once I took off my shoe, yelled invective in my native language and shook it in the man’s face. In a second a crowd gathered and hammered him. I felt quite sorry for him!
My advice to all tourists to our side of the pond is, when in Rome do as the Romans do!
In Pakistan for example, wear loose clothing. No cleavage. Cover legs. Do not smile and look friendly. Look like you’ll explode any minute!
Mideast is liberal with white tourists. In Pakistan a white woman is a curiosity. Thanks to porn on the internet, she’s regarded as a fount of ready and kinky sex! Ugh.
