Feel the pain, let razors cut you — you’re a poet for crying out loud! He’s awesome.
I’m told I pack self- mortification into my poems. We all punish ourselves but in private. Our social faces deny the self.

I loved reading your essay. I’m obsessed with the moon. Many of my poems showcase the moon. Weird.!

I lived in Cairo in Ma’di for two years. Egypt is true passion. Every full moon I’d go out to the pyramids and sit for hours where city lights couldn’t reach.
And once a week at least I’d do my pilgrimage to the sphinx and pyramids.
I mean, the mind and heart nearly explode!

Anyways, a big thank you for this essay!
