Exploiters like big monopolies are the main cause of poverty, amongst other things. Walmart and amazon etc pay us only enough to keep us on a shoestring budget. What we earn we end up giving back with added sweat and tears to them.

There was a period in america when someone could rise out of poverty and join ranks of a growing middle class. No longer. Too many debt traps and mine fields have been rigged by a rapacious free market economy. Credit card debt is bone-crushing. Yet we must finance a new car, use future debt to gratify shallow wants. We are like Pavlov’s dogs. More like capitalism’s dogs. The situation is dire with our shrinking middle class. Yes we are powerless, with atrophied muscles and stupefied spirits.

Politicians and big money KNOW how we live hand to mouth, from bill to bill. They want to keep us enslaved. You think Nancy Pelosi traipsing around every day in a new south sea pearl necklace gives a damn about our healthcare, education, life traumas? Or the most benevolent of democrats even an Obama cared? Not a whit. Who will stem the tide of trumpian might? For trump is an established dictator with dynastic dreams.
