Excellent essay John. Yes the world is overburdened. Perhaps overpopulated too.

We tend to gravitate towards cities, clusters that have existing survival infrastructure. It’s not Impossible to create satellite towns, redistribute population hence circulate wealth. Somehow neither governments nor individuals are willing to strike out. Cities like Cairo, lahore, Manila to name a few, can be diluted. Land lying waste can be reclaimed. But we have made that task very difficult by consuming resources wantonly all over the world. We Americans are too spoilt. In one day one household generates ludicrous amounts of garbage. Much of it is stuffed into landfills, but I think much more is shipped off to poor countries. Let the little people choke on it! I imagine money is made at official levels. It’s all gone wrong.
