What lay under a veneer of color blindness, religious tolerance, equality for all etc etc is now starkly exposed. Millions of Americans, his voters, hate their fellow Americans. And it’s of no comfort to me that the rest are willing to allow me to pretend they really don’t mind my ‘otherness.’
