Back where the Taliban roam… not quite. But it may well happen. I have family there. Support networks. You don’t have to go bankrupt maintaining a home. Or be sued if someone drops dead on your doorstep through no fault of mine! Food is cheap. Healthcare basic but absurdly affordable. Of course, we have specialists too. Prescription drugs cost a fraction. I can live with brownouts and blackouts. We in the usa are getting there! Incidentally, covid vaccine aplenty. I’ll miss the Charmin though. If I’m desperate I can still get it on the black market. We do have copious amounts of local toilet paper. Readers kind enough to read my comments must be familiar with my toilet paper metaphor. Hey, I’m going to write a whole essay on this!
