I was actually rather surprised to read this article which speaks with an even hand, about Modi’s fascist outlook and behavior. Gandhi and Nehru would be appalled. Even Indira Gandhi. Just as past usa presidents are incredulous at Trump.

To be honest, this is the first article I’ve read, ever, which speaks of violence against Indian Muslims, those untermensch in the eyes of a world turned fascist. Of course the world is aware of Israel’s brutality and slow genocide of Palestinians. But who cares,right?

To a mature mind, violence against one community in a country does not justify revenge violence in another country. Which is what you say in your comment when you speak of Pakistan. Yes, the world knows Hindus are being targeted by ignorant people. And it is wrong. They have lived peacefully in villages for decades with Muslim neighbors. Radical elements stir up trouble. The govt. has taken steps to protect them.

You do know of what’s been happening in Kashmir? Muslim youth tortured, blinded, killed, women raped? Indian army has killed off a whole bunch of young men. All you see are women boys and old men who have lived under curfew for over a year without public media or communication of any kind. Well, if you didn’t you know now.

So, I can no longer be an Indophile. But Hinduphonic I’ll never be.
