Ah yes. It’s sad that more and more people are engaging less and less.

I’m like you. Without any expectations I start up a conversation anywhere any time! My kids call me a chandelier! Mom, you light up a room with your crooked smile…

Sincerity works best. And I’ve met the most amazing people.

Once I approached a homeless lady who turned out to be the daughter of a Mideast scholar (white!) and was highly educated herself. We had cheeseburgers and talked for two hours. She had her network. People walking by greeted her intimately and I felt a warm aura around us as we munched on French fries.

We need more people like you! Thanks for a very lovely and much needed essay.
