Ah thank God for your article on marilyn and that abomination of a film called blonde. Ghastly. What was the author thinking? Lost respect for Oates completely, the little I had.
It made my flesh crawl at the callousness, disrespect and sheer ugliness of the entire film.
I have sympathy for the actress who played her.

There was soooo much that was ghastly about the film I don’t know where to begin. It enraged me. Marilyn being violated yet again by a bunch of - what can I say.
It was neither fact nor fiction. Just a travesty. The scene with Kennedy. That was brutal. Forget the president, the insouciance and cavalier attitude disgusted me. Seeing a pink tip of a penis and a gorgeous woman pumping away at it? I nearly wept.
How many times can you smash a beautiful crystal vase?
Can’t she be left in peace?

I raged on Facebook about the film. I was not alone in my sentiments.
